Description: Don't just blame the user; fix the system. Grounded in Human Error Theory, this course teaches the design of fail-safe mechanisms. Participants design "forcing functions" that make it physically or digitally impossible to commit common errors.
Learning Objectives:
Design processes that make it impossible (or very difficult) to commit an error.
Design a form mechanism that prevents a user from entering the wrong date.
Apply Human Error Theory to process design.
